Draft for review. This document is a working draft and should be reviewed by a qualified lawyer before Neibrz launches publicly. It is not yet legal advice.

Neibrz is a hyperlocal feed for real neighborhoods. It only works if people feel safe. These guidelines explain what is and isn't allowed, how we moderate, and the tools you have to control your own experience. They apply to everything you post, comment, or share on Neibrz, including anonymous posts.

1. Be a good neighbor

Treat others the way you would in person. Share things that are useful, kind, or genuinely local. Disagree respectfully. Don't do to others online what you wouldn't do to a neighbor face to face.

2. What is not allowed

Do not post, comment, or share content that:

3. Anonymous posts are not a shield

Neibrz lets you post anonymously so you can speak freely about your neighborhood. Anonymity is presentation-only: your name is hidden from other users, but every post remains linked to your account in our systems. These guidelines apply equally to anonymous content, and we can and will act on anonymous accounts that break the rules — including removing content, restricting anonymous posting, or banning the account. We may disclose identity where required by law or to address serious safety or abuse issues.

4. Reporting content

If you see something that breaks these guidelines, use Report on the post (available on every post, anonymous ones included). Reports are reviewed, and a post that is reported by enough distinct people is automatically hidden pending review. Reporting is confidential — the author is not told who reported them.

5. Controlling what you see

You can review and undo blocks anytime in the app under Profile → Blocked accounts.

6. How we moderate and enforce

Depending on severity and history, we may hide or remove content, limit a user's ability to post (including anonymously), or suspend or permanently ban an account. Heavily reported posts are hidden automatically while we review them. We aim to be fair and consistent, and to act faster on content that risks real-world harm.

7. Grievance Officer

In line with India's Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, you can raise complaints about content or conduct on Neibrz with our Grievance Officer:

We will acknowledge your complaint within 24 hours and aim to resolve it within 15 days. Please include enough detail for us to find the content (for example, a description of the post and roughly when you saw it) and the reason for your complaint.
